Smile Koni FSD & Lowering

HI!

Is there anyone running H-Sport Sport Springs and Koni FSD Dampers?

I am getting a MCSc and would like to get this set-up but am getting differing opinions on whether the 1" drop will cause problems with the FSD's. If anyone is running this combo, I would appreciate feedback.

Thanks,

Dave

From someone who sells them ...

When this happens, the FSD interprets the bump stops as part of the road and reacts to it - which is a false reading and produces inaccurate effects. There is also potential for damaging the FSD with repeated bottoming out.

The bottom line is that the FSD's won't work correctly with lowering springs and are designed to work with the stock springs.

I had seen that comment but was just wondering if anyone was doing this . I have received different info from another reputable source so I was just trying to sort out the differing opinions.

Thanks!

Koni NA says don't do it. You won't find a more reputable source. Also, you can trust a retailer that tells you not to buy something (that they sell), like Mini Mania in the reference.

ok, so question - sorry for dragging an old topic back into the limelight but surely this shows that i've done some research?

anyway, if i have lowering springs and my shocks are wearing, what option do i have? what's a good shock? coz i was under the impression that these koni fsd's were really good but then they don't work with lowering springs so now what?
thanks for any help
