Offline | Extensive Suspension Mods More Neg Camber Has anyone successfully modified their suspension and is able to achieve a front camber alignment of 2 degrees negative? I have adjustable strut tower mounts fitted and max neg camber is 1.15 degrees. My little monster no longer has any standard supension components, handling on the track is great, certainly not everyone's taste for the general road, however... |

Offline | What kind of camber plates do you have installed? I've seen some plates which allow in excess of 4 degrees negative (and they fit under the tower brace as well...). I only am allowed certain mods on our race car, and camber plates are illegal....wish I had them! |

Offline | they are Noltec Camber plates, they allow for castor and camber adjustment. my problem has been the lack of clearance from the Eibach sport spring, the "beehive" shape of the spring compromises the clearance in the strut tower /Users/harryvontelas/Desktop/IMG_0227.jpg |

Offline | Hi, I have camber plates, and am currently running at -2. The plates allow more negative adjustment, but I have found -2 the best compromise for the track. It nicely improves handling and turn in, and improves wear and temperature accross the face of the tyre. If you go any more than -2 you start to compromise braking and acceleration, as you start to decrease the size of the contact patch when going straight My plates were custom fabricated, and were organised by the guys who work on my car in Sydney (peak performance). They were cheap, and I have no problems, with probably around 20,000kms of racing and rallying since I installed them Cheers Robbo Mods: GO MADDIE and SPARKY! |

Offline | Robbo, I have the same camber plates, can see by your pic the centre of the damper well inside the strut tower, exactly what I'm trying to acheive. I have eibach springs which foul on the inside of the tower. |

Offline | I use Webb Motorsports camber plates and have gotten it set up to -3 for slaloms. I run my track days with -2.5. I use Koni adjustables with H&R comp springs. |

Offline | It seems my issue are the Eibach Sport springs and their specific shape. As I found out today they're engineered to allow significantly more spring travel than the H&R design. Their "beehive" appearance allows for the top section of the spring to be accomodated in the lower section of the spring, if or when, the bump stops have been reached. The modifications being presently completed will result in a modified camber plate and a modified top spring seat to accomodate for the "wide" wind on the Eibachs. We'll know the results on Friday. ![]() on two wheels.... |
