How much would you pay?

Don't know if this is in the right place...please move if need be!

How much would you pay for a used (1 month old) JCW Strutbrace?

Complete with all the bits, unmarked, as new!

I have the option on one, but don't know what to offer!

Thanks,

Jon

How much are they new?

Is it unused, or unmarked? That would make a difference to me (not that it should I guess?!).

Have you checked completed auctions on Ebay? That is generally a fair price.

It is used (i.e. it has been fitted to a vehicle), but it's one month old and unmarked.

One call to JCG just confirmed it

Strut brace is only advertised for the Cooper S, and Cooper S Convertible.

It won't fit pre-facelift Coopers due to the battery housing, but no problem at all on the facelift Coopers!

IIRC they are one time use nuts and they are quite expensive to buy second time around

Thanks for the advice, I did call JCG to ask how it fitted and they advised me of all the parts required. Very helpful chaps!

bargain, new I would have said price would be about £140, so well done mate

if your battery cover gets in the way you can get one aftermarket that allows you to fit this to a cooper

Its only a forum you know!

I'd be interest to know how you get on fitting this? I always thought you have to remove the battery cover to get it to fit a Cooper (something I wasn't that keen on)

This thread could have cost me money

I will report back with fitting details

I'll probably pick it up at the weekend, give it a polish with some autosol, clean the engine bay and put it on!
