Offline | R90's and lowering Hi all, Not been around here long, but found an extremely useful place for info. I have a quick question though. I have just purchased seom R90's (originals) which I need to get refurbished, and am thinking of going for the Eibach springs. Will I have any trouble with tyre clearance? Also what tyre size is best? 205/45/17 or 215/40/17? Cheers |

Offline | There's a guy here in Australia running Eibachs with OEM R90s and 215/40/17s … he's had no problems with the tyres rubbing either. On the other hand my genuine fakey R90 replicas, with their different offset pushing the wheels out closer to the guards do rub ever so slighty with my Eibachs, but it happens rarely over sever bumps and not enough to be a problem. That's with 205/45/17s as well on my car. ![]() |

Offline | Thanks for the info guys. I am now the proud owner of R90's, currently in for refurb. Black gloss spokes with Diamond cut rims is the order of the day. Toyo T1R's on order.... just one more question.. I am replacing, the standard 2001 Cooper alloys (5 spoke) and was wondering if I will need to change the nuts. Any tips? Cheers] Neil |
