Cheers Scott.... |

Offline | Springs is fine. Many folks fit either Eibach or KW 30mm or 35mm drop respectively with no issues. You can have other parts changed to make the setup even better but it improves the handling and looks even without those extra things. The Coilovers are worth doing if your going for a track racer but on a road car they are not nessesary, but are a very nice option. It all boils down to your money, your choice. R |

| Beer Society President... | Coilovers ultimately give you more flexibility. The Spax kit used to be used by JCW as their 'Coilover' option (and indeed in the JC Challenge). The ride is hide on Spax regardless of the '28' stage damping the rebound makes the ride bouncy, but they do what they are designed to do very well and for sensible money. The stated 30mm drop for the Coilovers is a little tame, and we have found that actually the drop possible on Spax is slightly more, but not into the region of Eibach, KW or FK (Which provide huge drops!). If the ability to 'fiddle' with your car is appealling then coilovers are a good option otherwise springs will provide the drop and some handling (but limited) improvement on a much smaller budget. Depends what you are trying to achieve really? Tim ![]() |
