Scotland Fiiting my KW V2 coilovers last night

Got the rear two on, doing the front two tonight as i needed spring compressers to do the front. But heres how it looks just now. Had to laugh at how low the car actually looks

Will put up a pic when its all done!

Hey! Fancy seeing you here . Looking good mate! How much did you lower it by? And how difficult was it to do yourself - i take it you just used a jack and axle stands?

Eh i think its about 50mm, not too sure! Its nearly as low as kw's will go but will go a wee bit lower. Was easy enough to do in my garage, yeah used trolley jacks & axle stands, doin the front tonight so will prob go a hurl round the town to see what the rides like & if i can get over speedbumps of course. Might need to play about with it until its just right. Looks really cool the height its at right now though

Coilovers really do have a major impact on the handling, well done on going the DIY route
a couple of tips for you; once the heights have been measured and set ,put a dab of yellow paint on the ring and lock ring -this allows easy visual indication of how many turns you have moved up or down and keep the settings equal,
also worth spraying white grease on the threads once done,it does attract a bit of dirt over time but it wipes off and it does prevent the rings sticking on.
make damper adjustments 1 click at a time in pairs and use for a few days before adjusting again until you get the ride that you like and is suited to the roads you drive on.
I am sure you will enjoy the grip, ride.and handling improvement!!

Its yet to rub even with THREE folk squeezed in the back!!!

At idle, there is 10mm clearance between tyre and arch and it has yet to rub even at full whack round roundabouts Just shows how stiff the KW's are! Absolutely lovin the car at the moment thoug i fear it may get me another 3 points

Do you have any problems with your axles? Like vibrations or something? I wanna get a KW V2, too, but I'm a bit afraid of lowering it as low as yours is now, because of the vibrations...

Nope none at all! Runs perfectly smooth, doesnt seem as bumpy on normal driving (dont get me started on potholes though!!) Id recommend these to anyone interested in coilovers!

Nice to hear that!! That's the only thing I'm afraid of, but with coilovers I could easily adjust it a bit higher, and see if the vibrations go away...
In a german forum we're searching for a solution to prevent and remove the vibrations!!
