Online | lowering 30mm whats the rub? help req for lowering novice just about to get some 30mm eibach springs for my 2005 mcs, on SS+ i have found various opinions here, but anybody else with this set up? 17" wheels with et37, and 215 40 Avon ZZ3 tyres occasional 4 up travel as well to consider, so am i looking at a minor rubbing issue, [ sound only] serious rubbing [getting the knife out to my arch liners], major surgery is a non starter and pictures of minor surgery would be usefullthanks ![]() carefree Last edited by alski : May 29th, 2007 at 12:02 PM. |

Online | not sure on fitting yet, it wont be me, i know some one local who works on old BMW and scoobies, otherwise a hike to someone like gtt or lohen it was the ET of 37 combined with a wider 215 tyre that was worrying me, quite a lot are your tyres 215/35/18 or bigger at 225/35/18? are you on jcw or after market wheels also tyre brand would be useful info thanks alan ![]() carefree |

Offline | 30mm on 17" wheels with a within standard ET will not rub unless something is wrong. I have 35mm Kws on 17" rims with ET38 and they have never touched even when the back was filled with sandbags and the front with 2 blokes...one who was 15.5 stone! |

| Never brake for corners!! | Ive got kw 35mm springs on my mini riding on 17'' pro race 1.2's. I didnt want the car to low but it sits perfect now and have had no rubbing issues in the last 4months they've been on. I had eibach 30mm springs on my old mini and would really recomend the kw's over the eibach's. If in doubt give the guy's at lohen a call. They made my mind up![]() |
