| MINI2 Regular | Lowering and Wheel Alignment I'd like to fit the -20mm Eibach kit to my 2003 MCS. If I fit the kit myself will I need to have wheel alignment re-done? I assume there is no camber adjustment on the rear wheels, so does the 20mm drop significantly affect camber at the back? Is camber adjustable at the front with the stock dampers? How easy is the whole fitting process? Cheers, Jake |

Offline | I don't know how good you are at DIY jobs...however it can be done by yourself but it's not the easiest job. By the way, no, there no way to adjust front camber with the stock dampers, you'll need to fit camber plates on top of the dampers to do that. As for the rear, I've heard the camber changes quite a bit when lowering the car, I don't exactly know how much because I had already fitted adjustable rear control arms when I did it, so I got the alignment done at the same moment. |

Offline | Alta Adjustable Rear Control Arms: Alta Mini Performance - Rear Control Arms As for the front, I've the Ireland Engineering Adjustable Camber Plates fitted. ![]() I'd lower the car only if I was able to adjust the rear camber, that's the one which changes lots. The front is ok as it is even lowering, you can fit the camber plates if you want to be able to work on your car handling, but it's not necessary if you just wish to lower the car. The rear, instead...well, the camber becomes quite negative so I'd not keep it as it becomes when lowering the car. |
