Offline | How to level the PSS? I need some advise on how to level the adjustable Bilstein PSS on my car. Do I need to level the car from the ground or do I need to level each absorber left and right to the exact height? When I look at my absorbers they seem to be adjusted to all different heights already. Maybe that is why my car seems to have a bumpy ride ![]() |

Offline | PSS9s I have the PSS9s for three years now on my 05 Cooper S. I tried several times to set them up right and they never handled as well as I wanted on the track. I paid a shop in West Chester PA to corner weight the car and that was the best money I had ever spent. If you want to race your Mini and you bought the PSS9s already I would invest another $500 into getting them corner weighted. Right now my car is slightly unleveled but you can only notice with a ruler and it was done on purpose to get better weight distribution for the track. |

| The Power Cube | My car was corner weight tested and found to be perfect (with me in the car). This was without any weight adjustment. The suspension should be set up so that each unit is identical to the opposing side. The front and back don't have to be equal obviously... only side to side. If your handling is no good, i strongly suspect the Bilsteins NOT to be the cause, i'd look more at the chassis, bushes/mounts, and tyres ![]() Bilsteins are THE best product in their class. Cheers, K. ![]() Too many mods to list, PM me if the cat needs killing... |

Offline | Hi, You are wrong. A properly corner weighted car is set up so the diagonals are equal, ie front left + right rear combined should weigh the same as front right + left rear ![]() Cheers Robbo Mods: GO MADDIE and SPARKY! |

Offline | My car is fitted with H&R sway bar, Bilstein PSS, continental tyres and the bushes and suspension are in good condition but I keep wondering why the back end tramps to one side when I go over a small bump in the road. Can anyone help? |

| The Power Cube | ..perhaps it could be the toe in on your rear wheels (although that is not really adjustable), or it could be tyre pressure (assume not), or it could be a faulty suspension unit (assume not). Have all 4 wheels been aligned in relation to each other? sometimes you get cars where the rear seems to sit either left or right of the front ![]() Cheers, K. ![]() Too many mods to list, PM me if the cat needs killing... |
