| MINI2 Regular | Anyone with Sport Suspension Plus please do me a favour?? Sorry guys, have searched for some time but to no avail! Have 54 MCS JCW with I believe SS+. I know I don't have the JCW springs as mine are standard black. You can tell whether the struts/springs are SS or SS+ but the color coding on them. Mine are twin purple stripes on front and blue/yellow on rear. If someone already knows if this confirms SS+ or if someone with SS+ wouldn't mind checking their springs for the coloured stripes you would put me out of my misery! Cheers in advance! ![]() ![]() |

Offline | Tried to gather info about spring markings and their corresponding part numbers, but the thread never gained much momentum: http://www.mini2.com/forum/wheels-ty...etk-table.html My 2003 MC with SS+ also has two purple stripes on the front but two grey stripes on the rear. There are a few different SS+ springs for the MC depending on what equipment is specced (and its impact on the total weight of the car over each axle). Maxdude, which of the following does your MINI have? Model (one/MC/MCS), Transmission (Man or Auto), and which of the following accessories are on the car: DSC Suspension (none {one}/SS{one/MC}/SS+/{MC/MCS} head airbags emergency wheel sunroof storage package headlight cleaning system foglamps a/c auto a/c Nav system 6cd changer Harmon Kardon |

| MINI2 Regular | Hi Cristo, did see this thread of yours when I was searching. Don't think answering any of above will help as my springs have been replaced since new by an independant mini garage. That is why I am now trying to ascertain whether the springs are SS+ or not. So we match colours on front pair but not rears. Funny yours are grey as I have checked in my cellar today and I still have a almost new pair of springs off my old ONE from 4 years back and the rears are grey??? anyway, here we go: my car is a MCS(so should have SS+ from factory),manual, with storage, fogs, and HK....nothing else on your list. | MINI2 Regular | Checked mine again in the daylight today and my rears have a grey and yellow stripe, not blue and yellow as first reported!!?? No one else have SS+ and don't mind checking theirs?? Too much to ask these day I suppose. I remember the time when folk on hear used to bend over backwards.....this seems a distance memory now.... ![]() ![]() |

| I am not a number!! | Why not ask the person that changed them then ![]() Surely if they are OEM parts they will have the relevant part number on them? Then check against RealOEM.com Online BMW Parts Catalog I didn't mean it ![]() |

| MINI2 Regular | Thanks Rakey, springs don't have a part number on unfortunately, just 2 coloured stripes. Bin down the RealOEM route too and that just says to contact dealer as more details required!! Anyhow, I'm off to dealership tomorrow to have a look at a few myself. Hope I don't get caught looking too shifty!!! |
