Question eibach rubber tubes on springs?

hi all,

i just recieved my eibach pro-kit springs for my mcs. i realized that both back springs have a rubber protective tube that wrap around 1 or 2 coils. is this normal? should i take the rubber tubes off? why don't the front springs have these rubber thingies as well? thanks guyz!

Southernsun,
I think you should keep it stay on. I have installed the Harmann springs which has no rubber tube wrap around. It produces some annoying noise at the back when the road condition is not good.

The rubber is indeed to reduce the noise, best to keep it on.

Smile thanks guyz!

thanks a lot guyz! i will keep the rubber tubes on the springs. it makes sense for the rubber protectors to eliminate noise for the rear. again, thanks for the help!
