Offline | Sports suspension + I'm still waiting for my Cooper but am still undecided about the sports suspension plus. Its a no cost option with the Chilli pack but does it make the ride as hard as on the Cooper S? I tried a MCS but opted for the Cooper because of the jarring hard ride and thought that I'd tire of it. It was also fitted with 17" wheels as opossed to the 16" on the Cooper. Anyone any thoughts ? Offline | The SS+ on the cooper will be much the same as the S, but the 16's will be 'smoother' and less jarring than the 17's. So SS+ with 16's should be better for you than SS+ and 17's. Did you test drive a Coope with SS or SS+, and if only SS, what made you opt for SS+? Paul ![]() |

Offline | I'm trying to find out if the Cooper has SS or SS+ at the moment. It was much smoother but something midway between would probably be the best solution which is where I was coming from. I thought the 16" wheels and the SS+ might be just about right. The salesperson didn't bring it up at the time, its just since then reading throught the options list that I discovered this is a no cost option with the Chilli pack so the other thing I need to know is what spec I have ordered. I assume it will be the SS but won't know until I speak to the sales girl. Chilli Red Cooper with White roof, 16" 5 stars, Chilli Pack |

Offline | I got SS+ with 16" alloys and it is a lot smoother compared to a MCS test drive with SS+ and 17" Alloys... It felt quite wierd at first drive on the SS+ and 17" alloys. SS is standard on all coopers, and if you opt for the Chilli pack you get upgraded to SS+ as standard, unles syou specify not to have them on! |

Offline | I have this exact dilemma. I have ordered a ccoper for July, but am unsure whether to go for the SS or SS+. I had a test drive in a cooper with 16's and SS, which was interesting, and I am having a test in a cooper with 16's and SS+ on Friday. I am hoping this will help me with my decision. |

Offline | Got clarification as pointed out before. Coopers with Chilli pack come with SS+ unless you specifically say you don't want it. The one I drove had it so I'm going with the SS+ and 16" wheels. Amazing difference the extra inch makes to the ride on the Cooper S I drove. ![]() Chilli Red Cooper with White roof, 16" 5 stars, Chilli Pack |

![]() MINI2 Master | I've got a Cooper with SS+ and 16" runflat wheels - the ride is firm but fantastic. I've never been in a car that handles so well. One of my mates is getting a one year old Cooper this weekend, with 17" runflat wheels but normal SS. It'll be interesting to see how they compare. |
