For Those Who Have Lowered Their Mini!!!

I would like all those who have lowered their Mini's to give their opinion on how it has affected the ride and handling of the car.
Could u please state Make, Model of car, Make of Spring kit or Damper kit, Fixed height or adjustable Height etc. etc.?
I'm wanting to lower my Mini One but can't decided whether to get jus springs or the full monty!
Any help much appreciated!

Kenny

Dropped 30mm on Pi Springs - standard suspension setup, standard 16" wheels.

Handling has noticeably improved, looks excellent, scooches round corners like WHAT?!? No problems with speed humps etc either.

Do it. Go for it. Get it done.

Did I mention, it's a great mod, do it?

;-)

What are the PI springs like cause mates of mine have had them on other cars and they were bloody awful. Just wondering your opinion? Cheers Chris

03 Cooper S , Eibach Pro Kit , -25mm , Fixed

Handling is much better , lean is pretty much eliminated although after experience with my old cooper i would lower th car and put some nice sticky tires on too then u will notice a HUGE! difference imo, i still run the run-flat tires on my car now and they are total pants! But it does look awsome!

Good question Max!
But my answer is 'Who Cares?!'
A bit naive but if i worried about stuff like this i'll never get any sleep!
And i don't think the BMW/Mini mechanics will really care unless a mod causes damage to your car. They'll jus do the oil change etc. and fix anything they deem to be under warranty.
Best thing to do is get to know one or two of the mechanics!

Didn't invalidate my warranty - and as for the quality of the Pi springs, they're excellent - although I have nothing to compare them to! I did want to go for the Eibach kit but went for the Pi in the end!!!

i have eibach pro-kit springs on my mcs. drops the car 1.2 inches (how do u translate to euro specs?) but the car looks great, and handles awesome as well! very nice mod, and the ride is not at all bumpy.
