Offline | lowering springs for those of you who are keen to slam your mini to the ground i have found a company who can supply 'elbach' springs which will lower you mini by 30mm, they are £110 +vat as i have never heard of this company im wary of buying this kit so if anyone has heard of them and anything of there quality i would be most pleased to hear from you the company is 'check point' and are based in aberdeen 01224 640 682 they can deliver within 48 hrs i have asked my dealer abount warrenty they say that it will not be affected which is good news!! the other question is about left pull, my car does not left pull but im worried that by putting on new springs that this might bring it on ![]() S12COT, Cooper 'S' arrives 14th April after 3 years without a Mini i could not help myself! |

| MINI2 Master | I would wait and see what the fix is to cure the steering pull first. The new suspension I understand will have left and right sided springs unlike the older design. Eibach make springs for several manufacturers lowering kits. I don't think that they would produce substandard parts. The problem is that MINI are now moving the goal-posts for them. Do you really want lowered springs? Most Fiat Coupe owners report that 30mm lowering springs are too hard, and most remove them within 6 months. They are good on smooth circuits, unlike the lousy public roads. Some owners of SS+ Coopers already are grumbling too. |

Offline | cheers for you thoughts i will take them in to consideration when you say about tthe new springs being left and right sided, they are obviously completly diffrent so does this mean that all coopers are going to be recalled to have this fitted, mine is a feb 02 car was this after they changed the susp? | MINI2 Master | I think by Feb 02 you mean pre week 9 build date. You most likely have the earlier version, but you would be best to check. Only Coopers that have a complaint about the steering pull will be fixed with the new suspension after it is checked by the dealer. What will be interesting will be the new design. Will it have a left and right- handed helix? |

Offline | minimania.com has some lowering springs at http://new.minimania.com/Page.cfm The picture clearly shows that they all go the same way round - not left and right handed. Does that mean they could cause a problem? |

| MINI2 Regular | Scott 25-30 mm sounds about right to lower. Zoooms on;ly asking a ton +vat go for it and report back, if it's cool negotiate a tenner per referral if we buy from him/her. Spax do a kit for the same price, if you are on 16s/195/55 def lower. Mike. Make the pint from Zoom a Stella |
