Offline | sports suspension im starting to plan my new mini i currently have an 03 reg mini one im looking to change to a cooper but i need to know does the sports suspension lower the car or just stiffen the suspension? i need to know because my garage is at the bottom of a long lane my mini one gets up there ok as long as i strim the grass regularly but i can here it on the underside if a cooper is much lower i'm worried about ripping something of the bottom. also does wheel size make much differance? ![]() |

Offline | Getting a bigger wheel might increase the ride height. I might be wrong, but I'm pretty sure that the MC and the MCS are lower than the ONE, by how much I don't know. But they aren't very low. If the height is a problem, just approach your garage at a 45 degree angle slowl. This will ensure that it won't hit the bottom. ![]() |

Offline | The sport suspension lowers the car by 8 mm (0.32 inch) which I donīt think is significant for your problem. Klaus Donīt bother me with: Vans, SUVs and Grandpatronic |

| Comes and Goes | yeah my girlfriend has a really bad drive, very steep. my mate has sports plus suspension i think and he has 16" rims. i have sports supension and 15" rims. the over all tyre distance is that im slightly smaller and have more of a gap than him between teh car and tyre. about 10mm greater. but my over all car is indeed lower gudging by the wing mirrors. so i aint sure he has sports plus but anyway. i have put the aero kit on now and i was worried about catching cuz the front bumper seems lower (the plastice bit under neither). any way it was fine i have caught it once, i just go slow and try and get as much angle as i can. so if you get your car lower it doesnt seem to bad. i have caught it a couple of times. i notice also that you will only scrape plastic under bumper piece anyway so dont worry. get upgrade suspension. |

Offline | its not steep its just a long lane with 2 tracks for tires with a grass mound in the middle when i drive down i can here the grass on the underside of the car and i read somewhere about the streering pump catching fire. i was worried that a cooper with the new bumpers might not get up the lane at all |
