Websites Having spent many hours on the internet viewing sites over the past years I tried to work out what keeps a site interesting? Is it news? Pictures? Links? The ThinkMini trial pages are now live, these are in place to give you and us a chance to see what is liked before the real site is developed. Please have a look about if you have a moment and feel free to tell us what you would like to see! www.thinkmini.co.uk If you have any Mini news you want featured then send it over! Dave

Looks good, nice to see some prices on the site as that is something that always annoys me if there is no idea of what things cost. Although the mixture of fonts and colours is a bit too busy, just think it could give off a more professional look if these all followed each other and there was a consistency. What generally gets me to go back to a site is if there is something to follow, such as news, updates or something that involves me. First thought that I had on yours was to maybe have a blog page where you give details of jobs you've done or adventures that have with Bert

| I think its a geat website, Lohen's is probably one of the best I've seen for presentation but you cant judge a book buy its cover. I'd like to see a products page, with products and services listed. Also a "Past projects" page with cars on such as Alex's with progress photos and list of modifications to carry out, would also be nice to have this printed out and framed on your wall just to show the broad area of MINI work you can carry out! | The site is looking good Dave. I do agree with the comments by Rakey on the use of colour though, if you are going to use colour then its nearly always best to limit the number of different colours used, same goes for fonts. The ThinkMini logo is a strong brand and would be good if it formed the template for each of the pages i.e. Green Headings, White background and Black text. It sounds really simple but can look really professional. Anyway... what do i know... I work in the world of pensions.... When you list all the services you provide, it would really powerful to see examples of customer cars, with a bit of chat from you and them (i.e. if you fitted JCW 4pots to an R53 and they looked really cool, then have an actual picture with a bit of chat on how you helped them make the decision, what other options were considered etc). All of that helps to inspire confidence in a completely new customer. Prices are very important as well, there is not enough background on how you are able to offer really competitive pricing. When displaying prices, its also really useful to have supply only or fitted price as well. I'll shut up now.... royster |

Thanks for the input guys, im 50/50 on the pricing after all its been our goal to sell on quality not price. George, im just adding the links for the project pics and we will also have a project section. The white and green logos are coming..............we are planning to change the headers quite a lot! Thanks again

There is a well know tuner in staffordshire whose website is pretty much as good as i'd want one to be. I think pictures prices (not inc fitting as that should vary from car to car and would also be an excuse to get someone on the phone and advise them of other things they could do with )regular updates and links to keep the pages looking neat and tidy Did you create the page yourself? It's not bad

We do have a very talented web builder waiting to build one for us, but we did not know what we or you wanted, so yes I confess I did knock this one up myself! In about 1 hour and yes its my first ever! ha ha! So when we have a nice level of content we will proceed with the polished version!
