Yes I will explain.

The engine and gearbox is held in the car with just 3 mounts.

There is a large rubber mount on the side of the gearbox and another near the belt tensioner area, these two mounts carry all the weight of the engine.

The 3rd is mounted between the engine sump and the subframe, this is the nount that stops the "swing".

Pre facelift cars have all rubber mounts which do the job very wel, they also have a brace above the offside mount (drive belt side) which stops the mounts movement forwards and backwards.

On pre face lift cars the setup is very good and fine but can be improved with the fitment of Superflex void filling bushes.

On face lift cars this is also true for the gearbox and lower mount but with the 3rd mount being sealed and oil filled from new there is no way of fitting a bush, to make things even worse BMW decided to not fit the extra brace it fitted on early models.

So under hard use the oil filled mount is pulled apart with front and back movement that it was never designed to take!

The TMC "Ultimate" solves this by stopping excess movement if the front to back plane but still allowing full up and down movement to be controlled by the oil filled mount.

Prices will be released this week with the first production run in early December.

Nice work Dave, I was always impressed by the test parts when i saw them.
You just need to make a prefacelift one, to rival that one that Bhozar has, as its too flashy for me in annodised metal ... I need red powdercoat

What are these made out of Dave?? If steel, you could always have them blacked oxidised for the oem look.

That colour is amazing Dave!

I think black is the best without it looking tacky, but I would love to see an aspen white GTT strut brace or a hyper blue one, for the OEM look

Basic difference is that the TSW is pap and bends really easy on the facelift cars. it works fine on pre facelift but on the post the way the bracket fits allows it to flex and bend the bracket too easy. I seen 2 facelift TSW get bent after a matter of miles... but also seen a pre facelift car have a tsw for years now and its fine.

Its ironic because the pre facelift cars dont need a damper!! they have a extra device fitted by BMW!

I designed this item after buying a TSW damper for my own facelift car, I found the angles of the TSW damper to lift the engine under compression and the brackets bent in a very short time.

And to date nearly 18 months my replacement parts have still not arrived!

So the TMC steady was born!

I have just had the first 10 made and I was not 100% happy with the design for road use but will be fine for track
so im waiting for another batch for "softer" road use
