It's up to the app on the iPhone. Plus, it would have to appear as either a phone call, or as music audio, in which case, you'd need to be switched to audio on the phone. Try listening to music on the phone, see if the nav comes over that.
Hi i get my iphone to connect via bluetooth for phone calls etc but wasn't successful in getting
my music to play! have managed to do this now by using the phone cable strait into the USB..
Switch to media on your radio and it will display the external source.. i also use a memory stick to play my music.. you can also connect your iPhone with the Carplay function! this can be found in the Iphone settings : Settings >General>Carplay.. you do need to have the Voice Control button on your steering wheel, the icon looks like a persons head with sound coming from their mouth.. you can then speak to your phone to call up music,address book & sat nav etc..
