I took delivery of my F56 Cooper in Sept 14. Fabulous car! Very quiet and well built...other than rattling coming from the inside of both doors (but mainly drivers door), which sounds like the beads rattling on one row of an abacus! First attempt by mini to fix it made zero difference. 2nd attempt fixed it, but only temporarily, as the rattle has returned as bad as ever and I'm back in contact with my mini dealer and asking them to sort it or get me another car. "Jingle...jingle....jingle..." over anything but smooth road surfaces.
Question: am I right to expect no rattle, or do all F56's have this rattle? I had a courtesey car whilst it was being fixed the 2nd time, and this had a slight rattle too. I suspect that its a design flaw across all F56s that some, like me get upset about more than others. Maybe those that enjoy the stereo on all the time (many folk, but not me) don't worry about it. I would suspect that it takes a few months for the mini engineers to engineer out the flaw....
I'd be very interested in other owners experience on such rattles... thanks!!
