Shaun, tell him that whenever there´s a MINI around, be cautious - that worked with my three-yearold son, who will be staying back in Sweden along with bigbrother (seven) and mother (secret age ).

Registered for the MINI United newsletters and have just booked a room at the Premier Travel Inn Silverstone, this reminds me of the 1994 IMM and Mini 35 at Silverstone

Just need to book a ferry, book leave from work and tell the Wife

Barry, Niall and Mark which ferry are you folks thinking of booking?

Belfast/Larne to Scotland, Belfast to Liverpool or the Dublin to Liverpool?

I'll probably use Dublin - Holyhead myself, Tesco Clubcard vouchers will be paying for it anyway! Still in 2 minds if I'll take a second car or not - may not be able to make the IMM in Birmingham so would be good to take one of the Classics over as well.

I'll stick to the MINI, everytime I take the Mini on a ferry I pull the exhaust of it

It also has a shocking amount of extra traffic to contend with - any time saved by taking the fast ferry will be negated by sitting in a queue trying to get over the East-Link Toll bridge. Last time I used Dun Laoghaire I spent well over an hour getting from there over the bridge and past The Point which is near enough at the Dublin Port exit. I'd much rather spend an extra hour on a Ferry where the kids can run about!

Which way did you go Niall?! If you take the M50 right the way round to Dundrum, you come off at the new Dundrum Town Centre and stop at Tesco to fill up, and it's 15 minutes from there...

No need to go anywhere near that bottle neck of a bit of road

Seriously - I'd rather slit my wrists than willingly go anywhere near the M50 on a Friday afternoon at 5pm.........
