Mini in the park 2011 @ santa pod

Just wondered if anyone was going to MINI IN THE PARK @ SANTA POD on the 14th August 2011.

Our team here at 1320MINI will be there, so pop over and say hi!

Does anyone know what the setup is? As in do you pay £15 and then drive into the car park or vice versa? I take it I can park with the other minis?

As far as I know if you haven't booked in with any MINI club you will have to park up in the main car park.

I'm sure there will be loads there not going with a club.

All the club stands are on the other side of the Drag strip, just walk around behind the start line area .

So going by that you can park in the mini only parking area ^ Not sure if thats before or after ticket purchase or what the setup is, maybe lots of people pointing in jackets. Id rather park with minis if its allowed..

Ah, I didn't see that,

Ask on the gate when you go in, & yes, many people in yellow jackets directing the parking.

I've been twice & been on a club stand ( MiniTorque.com - Welcome) both times I've done MITP.

Pop over & say hello, I'll probably be in the queue for the strip, look out for an Electric Blue R53 with a 'Zip' on the roof

I forget to check back on this post! Damn! Could have come and said hello! I Just got back, great event I must say! Enjoyed the drag racers. I didn't fancy going in dragrace with my standard, but I kinda wish I had now. I saw a blue cooper and thought hey I recognise that number plate and I just realised it was your car, haha Did you see that jet aircraft car? That was incredible! Terry Grant was pretty cool too. Overall I thought it was best event I've been to so far, what did you think?

(Incidentally my backbox started coming off on the way home, sounded sporty at least but its completely come off now . Least its an excuse to get a miltek one :P)

Yeah wish I'd seen this sooner. Had a brilliant day there will have to meet up with some people from the forum next year!
