| Goodwood festival of speed Anyone going to the Festival of Speed this weekend? Planning a trip on the Saturday - lovely Cooper with new stripes and driving lights will look the business in the car park!!!!!!!!! Mini Cooper, Indi Blue with white roof + bonnet stripes, Chilli, Driving lights, Alarm, Air Con, ASC+T, Heated Mirrors + Jets, Single CD  |

| I'll be there, going on Sunday! Gotta support the John Cooper Works guys in their bid to keep (I think) the Soapbox Challenge title, and there should be loads of other good stuff to see too - F1 cars & drivers, rally cars, old historic racers, manufacturer stands (bit like a small Motor Show) etc etc. |

| It's the best thing on wheels (other than new Mini) The programme this year is great - anyone who has never gone should give it a try... It's not like a normal motor show, you have full access to the paddock and can talk to all the drivers...F1 included... They all warm up there and love chatting about their cars.. This year Coulthard, Button, Eddie Irvine, Ralf Schumaker, Fangio's son, loads of others are driving - lots of current F1 cars on display and racing up the hill Also includes rally cars race, indi cars from US, supercars and loads of others... It's a bloody great bash - lots to see and loads of fumes to inhale and cars to drool over, plus...there's only about 10 yards of grass and a few hay bales between you and the track... | I really can't type Just realised that in my post above it read: 'There's only about 10 years of grass between you and the track.....' That should of course be 10 YARDS.... 10 years of grass would be a long bloody way! | We're going to Goodwood tomorrow. We're helping man the Institue of Advanced Motorists stand for part of the day (probabaly the morning). Do come and say hi if any of you happen upon the stand. We're taking my yellow MINI on the basis that it should be easier to find in the car parrk at the end of the day!  |
