Hi!! We are very interested - Gumbo's never been abroad ... but our decision is still pending and we can only give a definite answer closer the time due to work commitments. My friend who has a silk green mini says she's the same - again depends on work commitments.

Is there a deadline for this or limited number of spaces?

Will we have to sort out insurance (for both travel and car) ourselves?

£150 covers for return ticket, hotel, breakfast......any night time meals? I'm just wondering how much we might have to spend and if we have enough for pocket money....

Do we need to know how to speak French??

Will keep you posted.

The deadline is simply that if you want to come, you follow the link to the ferry crossing and book and then follow the link to the hotel and book. The later you leave it the less likely it is to be available and the prices could change.

All you are doing is booking a ferry crossing with a cabin on the way out and a seat on the way back and a hotel room for 3 nights. Evening meals are not included.

Car and travel insurance is to be sorted by you. Many insurance companies give you free green card cover anyway (but check your own insurance company) and mini themselves cover your car for breakdowns abroad if your car is still in warranty. Personal travel insurance you sort yourselves, if you want to have it for a 3 day trip to France? You do need to apply for the new E111 credit card style card which is your "passport" to free medical care in France. You can apply on line for this from www.ehic.org.uk/InternetPROD/home.do

Speaking French is not essential - I don't!

We will be arranging trips and adventures and mini runs for this weekender for people to join in with, but they are all optional. It is going to be a lot of fun! if it wasn't I wouldn't be going.

Hope that helps but if you have any more questions or anything else you would like to know, please just ask.

Thanks

Ade

Funny you should say that. Found it yesterday - in note form. Might be a little project

You can see Le Mont St Michel from our place near Villedieu les Poeles on a clear day. Must admit this is tempting, will have to check on the funds...

Marvellous news! Also you have talked yourself into a job on this trip! it's looking like this:

1. Chris and jax - the Interpreters
2. Paa100 - Epicurean Aficionado
3. RVW - Flag Bearer
4. Mini friz - Rear Gunner
5. Peanut - Cheer Leader

Good to have you on the trip! So pleased I might be persuaded to get the first round in!

Ady
