New MINI show and shine - I'm judging!

Following MINI2's winnings at the Ah's show recently, I thought you should all know that there will be a special New MINI category at Southern Mini Days this year.

Being the club webmaster and new MINI expert I have been asked to judge the new MINI category in their show and shine competition.

The event runs from Friday 2nd August - Sunday 4th. The show and shine is Sunday only (Starts 10.00am Sunday, closes 12.30)

Southern Mini Days is a top event, packed full of action, plenty of trade stands will be there visit www.southernminidays.co.uk for more info.

Download the booking form here (you must pre-book for show and shine)

Even if you're not entering, the event is well worth a visit, if enough of you are interested we'll have another MINI2 stand.

the MINI has gone...

Monsta,

What makes you think you are the new MINI expert ?

Also why do you and others all pick such dull colours for your mini's. A red mini with white roof and bonnet stripes. Surely people can come up with a more origional colour combo than that !! If you are trying to look like an original cooper you are failing miserably as the classics would never have come in such an awful colour combination

I don't want to start an argument here but your post is just totally criticising me and it's all unjustified.

I use the term 'expert' loosely but I consider myself to be the new MINI expert for the Southern Mini Owners club. There are only about 3 owners in the club and the rest of them aren't on MINI2 afaik - hence considering I have been on here since the launch and have read nearly every single post I probably know more about the car than they do.

At the end of the day the colour of a person's car is down to their own personal choice. I'm not trying to make my car look like something else, just making it look how I want, whats your problem?

P.S. If you want me to find you a picture of one of the 'classics' in red/white, just let me know, you've obviously had your eyes closed.

the MINI has gone...

GMABP!!!

I suppose Dark Silver and White is considered as an advant-garde colour combination!

Sorry I was just trying to incite a response. I am unjustified and apologise and didn't mean it in anger anyway.

You are correct colour is a personal choice. I have just never been keen on the red white or green white combo. I think this has in the main been due to the coopers that Rover produced. I prefer the more traditional pastel colours and old english white roof

Anyway sorry for the attack

Dan

Yes!

You can enter if you like, just be prepared to be beaten.

MINI now has added shiney stuff so guaranteed to win (especially if Monsta(chromeking) is judging

Nah, can only make the Sunday, selling cars and all that on the Saturday. I'm not sure if Tim is going, I will drop him a line later and find out. Shouldn't think he'll be up for the show and shine though.

Damn selling cars on Saturday, that's a bit harsh. Talking of cars (off topic I know!) the Bora 150 TDi Sport is excellent. But I'd go as far as saying that the engine almost eclipses the car itself.
