United-Kingdom Calling all Cumbrians - Lakes/Devils Bridge meet???

Anyone interested or know of a meet a Devils Bridge, Kirby Lonsdale, South Lakes??

This venue is very popular with Motor Cyclists and a great venue for a lakes or north yorkshire dales run

Lets give them leather clad chaps a run for their money

Thanks mate, just looked at your pics too, very nice!!

Yeah I'm interested...I believe there's already a lakes run sorted for this year though, and the heartbeat run too. Perhaps see if KL can be added into the route?

I'm up there next weekend, as the GF lives there, some great roads up there, if you planning to meet it might be better to start where its not full of bikers and start maybe in Boothes car park

The only problem I have is knowing which one to drive?

What we need to do is all get there early in the morning and bag the car park spaces with our MINI Union Jack towels

Do you have any details on these runs?

That's too soon for most people to be able to make it

Most runs are organised months in advance...I'd probably be up for one a bit further into the future though when I can book time off etc.

there are only 15 cars for insurane reasons, really if you are goin to a meet and insurance firm should be informed because anymore is deemed as inciting street racing and most insurance policies state that the cover is void if the car is use for this, poo i know, you can arange a larger meet with a governing body, (i dont know wich one but can find out tomorrow if you wish) but a lot of planning has to go into it!
nice car BTW!

never heard of this rule when we have had meets with 140 MINI's there

Its more to do with the organising of too many cars, having to wait for them to keep up, and the narrowness of some roads

The only problem I have is knowing which one to drive?

not sure what Oulton Park is or what it has to do with a group of friends that happen to have the same car meeting up and then going for a drive has to do with anything

but believe me, its never been a concern on any other meet such as the Motorshow that had 140 cars, Cotswolds which has around 100 cars each year attend.

A meet is not a race, its not a rally, its a gathering of people that have the same car, nothing more

The only problem I have is knowing which one to drive?

yes you are right, it is too soon, things would need to be planned, notes provided and have it organised properly

not wanting to dampen anyones bonfire, but might be worth attending a run first and seeing how much work goes into it
