 Lets do a Southern Ontario meet! OK, more southern Ontarions must have their MINIs by now so we should do a meet. There are good roads and english-style pubs around here in KW/Guelph if the Torontonians and Ottawa natives want to come out here; or, now that the garbage is being picked up again, we could meet in TO or heck, a drive to Ottawa would be fun too. We could pick up cars in TO on the 401 or something for a caravan of MINIs up the 135. Who's up for it? After a few reply we'll just announce a date and place and whoever shows up, shows up. If we ask for too many opinions we'll never set it up. I'm hoping people still read this forum but if I don't hear from people today I'll post in General... | Hi Harry, We seem to have two threads going on this.  I will be in Brampton on 27 July for a family do. I could be available for a drive and a pub lunch on the 28th. I am also on holidays 3-18 August and could pop down to Guelph. Then again, Ottawa is cool too! I guess I am saying max-flex.  I hope to have pictures of my Mini posted today. |

| OK, we should consider something next weekend. I know the TO crowd would like to meet somewhere closer to home and Brampton isn't much of a drive for me (I can take the fun roads through Georgetown instead of the fast, but straight, 401. Were you hoping to meet in Brampton? If so, I don't know it so you'll have to suggest a place. Otherwise, coincidentally I have exactly the same holidays in August and plan to be in North Bay for some of it (though probably not in the MINI as it'll be a family trip, but maybe we can pack light) though there is lots of other time available. | I hardly know Brampton at all so I can't suggest a place. However, I know Oakville and there are couple of good pubs, one of which is the Manchester Arms in Bronte. There is another in downtown Oakville at Reynolds and the Lakeshore but I don't know it's current name. But, since you are from the area, you can pick any place between TO & Guelph. Tony |

| I grew up in Burlington so I know Lakeshore and Bronte well, though I've never been to that particular pub. The menu looks good. I've cleared it with 'the boss' who was invited to come but the idea of a little car owner's meet doesn't appeal to her so I'll be there on my own. Noonish, shall we say?
