UPDATED Ring Time 30/09 to 4 October

Thinking of making our annual pilgrimage to the Ring EARLY OCTOBER


Dates chosen will mean
Drive down on Saturday 30th
Drive the Ring all day Sunday, Monday AND Tueasday (which should be much quieter for some good track time)

3 days off work, 4 nights in a hotel
GBP 300- petrol all in Cooper S
GBP120 - hotel per person
GBP lots - beer and sausage
GBP 80 - cheap ferry

GBP 600 all in for a total blast (or get a cheap flight and meet us there!)

Due to work commitments and stuff, I'm going to have to postpone my annual Run to the Ring til late September.

I'll post again when I've sorted dates.

Steve, sorry to hear you had to postpone your trip. i've got 14 days off in sept though so i may be able to join you depending when it is

Am now looking at going out at the end September as the start of October sees 3 days of unbroken public access to the track.

As this year has been pretty mild we should have pretty good weather - but be warned if it rains it is not the place to drive heroically - it is much better to tour round when the track is slippy.

I've driven the track in late October before without any problems and it is actually quieter (and therefore safer) as the bikers tend to be thinner on the ground.

This could be good!

i think i may be there about that time i am planning to go to photokenia in koln which is 26/9 to 1/10 & i was planning on staying near the ring,but not sorted anything yet not even booked time off work

Hope we can hook up - the fastest M1D deserves another run round the Ring!.

If you can move your holiday dates that would be awesome asthe Ring has pretty patchy opening hours the week before. The 1/2/3 October is really the last hurrah for the season as it gets a bit wet and cold after this, but the offer of 3 solida days of track time is too good to miss!
