Hey guys, get your sling shots ready with frozen peas, for MiniMiller. This is MoonPie, not "MrsMiniMiller", he knows better...I'll be riding shotgun, boy is he in trouble for posting me like that!

Looking forward to another fun road trip with lunch! :-Þ

Did someone say we're all getting a root canal too?

Too cryptic for me. Are you gonna be there moonpie? How many for lunch? MiniMiller...are you coming too? Bringing a car, riding shotgun, huh???

We're up to 10-12 cars so far...this could be huge!

Ken-
Count us in, but unfortunately we have to be at a wedding in Davidsonville at noon so we'll probably peel off the group at I-97. Obviously, that would count us out for lunch, too.

Know just where MINI of Towson is, since ours came from there, too.

Kudos for getting this started. This will snap a few heads around.

This really sounds fun.....I will try to make it for sure but at this point I can't promise a full 100% because I am going to the Ravens game on Friday night!

I am sure I will be there though!

Cheers!

The Beltway is 51.59 miles on the centerline according to the MD Dept. of Transportation. So, the answer is 113,498 MINIs (really)! We only need another 113,488 by Saturday.

DIRECTIONS AND AGENDA

Here's the agenda for Saturday, We have 8 confirmed cars and three others that are trying real hard. We're LEAVING at 10:00 promptly (unless you phone me at 410-913-5664 to say, "I'm only five minutes away...wait." So, why not show up at 9:30 or so , so we can say hello and see what's on the lot?

10:00-11:00 Leave the dealership making a right (west) on Kenilworth Drive. It's approx. 1 mile to Charles, where we'll turn right and go only aboput 1/8 mile to the Essex (east) ramp onto 695. FYI...this is exit #25. The Beltway is actually 51.59 miles "on the centerline" according to the MD Dept. of Transportation. I promised them we'd not use the centerline. We'll use the center lane though, and stay in line, especially as we enter the toll booth for the Francis Scott Key Bridge. The toll is my treat, as I'll pay for all our tolls and tell the attendant to waive you through. That way not lesser vehicles (aren't they all?) will interupt our "flow".

11:00-11:40 We'll actually do a little over one lap, as we'll be getting off of 695 at Cromwell Bridge Road exit (#28 or #29...can't remember). At Cromwell Bridge Road, we'll make a left for a 2to 2 1/2 mile twisty ride down to Loch Raven Drive (Sanders Corner Restaurant is on the corner). Make a left. It's about 3/4 mile to the dam, but we'll go another 2 miles or so, over a bridge to a scenic area where we can park next to the water and take some group photos.

11:40 Leave Loch Raven to have "Baltimore's Best" crabcakes at Angelina's Restaurant. We'll head back down to Cromwell Bridge Road and make a right, taking the "twisty" ride back to the Baltimore Beltway. Go East towards Essex again. We'll get off at exit 31A "Parkville". The ramp will yield you onto Harford Road heading South into the City. Angelina's is at 7135 Harford Road, approx. 1.5 miles down. Again, if you get seperated (you shouldn't ...I'm a talented experienced convoy leader), my phone will be on.

Our reservations are for 12:00

I've notified the four area TV stations and the SUN in case it's a slow news day.

No lunch for me

I think it'll just be the drive around the beltway since I'll have the kids. I'm the only seafood eater of the family so we'll probably just grab lunch somewhere else. See you Saturday!
