Double the fun!

Yes MoonPie you are correct, double is always twice the fun. I think this flash pretty much sums it up! Make sure your sound is on! PIE!

Goo Goo Clusters have been around since the age of dinosaurs I think. Much longer than the Goo Goo Dolls in any case. Stop by your local Cracker Barrel, their store part in the front always has a big stock of Moon Pies, Goo Goo Clusters and other delicacies.

And to keep this on topic, I didn't eat any Goo Goo Clusters or Moon Pies during our Baltimore Beltway run. Vanessa did have some cheese & crackers however.

Yes Cracker Barrel is a good source of MP's and GGC's.

Where the pre-made cheese and crackers or the type that contains the small reservoir cheese on the side? They really should improve the design of the cheese applicator on that product! Do you know how hard it is to apply cheese with a tiny stick!

I kind of like the tiny stick with the cheese - that was half the alure of the crackers in the first place.

I have found that when I enjoy that kind of cheese and crackers I tend to chew on the little red stick for an extended period of time after consuming everything. One time I had it with my lunch when I was in school and was still chewing on it when I got home that afternoon.

Got Belly-Shirts?

Now that you mention it the little red plastic stick could come in handy while driving a British car! Given that it is plastic it would serve as a fantastic insulator for Lucas parts that just happen to short out on the road! Oh yeah wait, I drive a "new MINI" disregard......

She didn't share any with me.
But I got a mocha frap!

Okay...so really? The age of the dinasaurs? What's your theory on how they survived, the Goo Goo Clusters and Moon Pies? The plastic sealed wrappers, providing years (like millions, tteehehhehe) of freshenss?

<---gonna go look up how long the Moon Pies have been around

Hey MoonPie how is this?

The Chattanooga Bakery was founded in the early 1900's as a subsidiary of the Mountain City Flour Mill in Chattanooga, Tennessee. The bakery's original purpose was to use the excess flour produced by the mill. By <http://www.moonpie.com/images/building2.gif> 1910, the bakery offered over 200 different confectionery items. In 1917, the bakery developed a product which is still known as the MoonPie. The exact history of how the MoonPie was invented was never documented by the Chattanooga Bakery, but one historian, Ronald Dickson of Charlotte, North Carolina, believes he found the "missing link."

In his book, "The Great American MoonPie Handbook", Mr. Dickson had written of the MoonPie's® lost history. Not long after his book was published, he received a telephone call from Earl Mitchell, Jr., identifying his deceased father, Earl Mitchell, Sr., as the person responsible for the invention of the MoonPie®

In 1912, Howell Campbell, founder of Standard Candy Company, had a dilemma. He had just invented America's first "combination candy bar" - a delicious concoction of caramel, marshmallow and fresh roasted peanuts, hand coated with rich milk chocolate in an unusual round shape - and he didn't know what to call it. A friend suggested the name Goo Goo® as it described the rich, chewy consistency of the candy bar and because "It's so good, people will ask for it from birth."

The dinosaurs died out when, mid 1960's? Some of you more mature folks may have played with them as children.

Unhappy Not Fair

You beat me again, both of you! ...

Johnny Rzeznik isn't that old, born in the mid 60's, the band formed (Goo Goo Dolls) in 1987.

So lil acetonic person man, how is the Moon Pie older than a dinasaur?

It's ok, lil cutie pies like RedPanda and Acetonic can get away with calling us old. Remember, anything that happened before 1985, they had to learn in history class. In their eyes, we are probably liken to national treasures.

More dinosaurs, couldn't resist:
