*** Route around 80 miles in total - approximate finishing time 2.30 - 3.00pm**

This run will be mainly B roads through the scenic Forest and Trough of Bowland. The Forest of Bowland - An Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB).

Start Blackpool, finish at Bilsborrow near Garstang at Guys Thatched Hamlet

There will be two main sections - the first section will be a warm-up of about an hour followed by a snack/toilet break at about midday in Garstang. There is also a Booths supermarket here if you need any provisions

The second, really fun section will follow lunch . There will be 2 planned photo opps of about 10-15 mins on this section as well as any you may want to take up yourself.

It would be fairly nippy for those who would like to exercise their MINI. Please read the etiquette thread for more information http://www.mini2.com/forum/uk-irelan...at-expect.html.

Please be aware that the roads on the route are a favourite with cyclists and ramblers too.

In order to avoid unwanted attention from locals please do NOT speed through any residential areas - those 30 limits are not target speeds but maximums. Please - no antics with wheelspins and the like in car-parks either. Let's keep it fun and try and get waves and smiles rather than shaking fists. It is highly likely that the roads for this event will be damp so please take extra care and be safe, looking out for each other as required..

Meeting from 10.00am for gabbing, admiring cars etc - Please do not come before 9.30am as that is approximately when the barrier posts at Derek Woodman will be put down.

Would have been up for that, but I'm out of the Country on holiday. Should be great, there are some fantastic roads through the Trough. Just remember to be careful if it's icy.
