Just looked at the run notes just a word of warning after you turn left at the T junction in flaxton be carefull going over the level crossing as it is very uneven and if taken at fairly fast speed you will get scrapage if you got the aero kit on trust me i know :0)

hi Darren 2pm start it gets dark at 530 pm. if we dont get off at 2pm not a lot of time to do the run safely. by the time we wait for the odd lost person, and some of the roads are full of pot holes and bad bends my rims wont like that. what do you think. can we not start at 12 noon ? just a safety thought. thanks gary

HI Gary.
Thanks for the advice.

I can asure you the roads taken will be pot hole free, and we should get to Whitby by 5pm.
I did the run in the dark to test it two nights ago and my rims are still in one piece.

Also some people have plans in the moring that I know about so 12pm woudl rule a few people out hta have supported the run form the start.
If all are there for 1.30, we can go at 1.30. It not a long run at 68miles.
The worse roads are near the start and they are flat and pot hole free. THe only rough spot is the level crossing in Flaxton. And thats fine for any lowered cars with body kits.

1.30 Gives you time to have an allday breakfast before setting off at Sainsbury's or Asda round the corner form the start point for lunch!

Darren

What time are the people from Newcastle thinking of heading down to York?

Is everyone going via the A19?

Is a convoy in order?

Yes meeting on the entrance road to the Park and Ride Car park, as found out its the only car park and ride that has barriers on the entrance and exit which you have to pay to get out at.

So nice wide road and layby on the entrance road to the car park instead. some pics are on ukmini.com

ILook forward to seeing you all!

Darren

So where shall we meet-up?

At the large layby on the Felling by-pass just before Testos roundabout / Ian Forster Cars?

Say at 12?

Yep that sounds like a plan. Is that the layby heading south on the A19 just before Testos roundabout?
