F & C Run

Top run Darren, We all had a great day out!

Nice to see several classic mini's on the run, we followed a black classic and despite the driver telling us it was standard, I am sure he must have had a turbo under the bonnet with the pace it was running. Quite exciting to watch some of his lines through the corners being a little sideways, bet it was fun inside.

To cap it all when we finally arrived home the Italian Job was on the TV, must say that the next run must include a few drains and subways.

Thanks again for organising the run Darren, best notes I have seen, clever re-grouping stops, weather on tap and a good turnout, it's just a pity that we got lost right at the end but all's well that ends well.

By the way, good luck to you and Lynne for your new arrival.

PS, How do you fancy organising an Italian Job run to Italy for around five days?

Alan, Sue, David and Janice.

Not sure, must of been over a while though by the sound of it.

Maybe the New Vs Old minis debat was part of it, and some classic owners give out aload of gip to new owners and don't like it when they get it in return.
Who knows, very odd though and a shame.
Can't see any links on the website to any of the big New Mini forums and sites, it's a very classic orientated.

Great to see some of the Northen Mini's guys on the run. Hope to see more of the guys and there Classics on more future runs. Was a good mix this weekend.

Re Italian Job run, I actiually have researched a run to Turin and back, have all the film locations etc sorted vua a contact in Turin. I would love to arrange it with a little help maybe for later next year.

Are many people interested on here??????

A nice drive down, stay over a couple of days in Turin, nice drive back. Re-grouping at set locations so people can drive at there own pace if desired, and re-group at a longer stops.

Darren.
