David Prentice Portadown R56 Launch Sat 18th Nov 06

Ryan from David Prentice sent me an email this evening with regards to the R56 launch. Hope to catch up with lots of you guys, especially the ones who seem to have disappeared off the face of the earth (lavs, Ian, Barry...)

Saturday 18th November, starting at 1pm

Hi Carolyn,
Just a short note to keep you up to date and to thank everyone for their help in letting us know what MINI drivers would like from us at our launch nights.

It seemed to be a common theme that everyone liked something different, and something to have a bit of a laugh with. So, here are the ideas of what we came up with.

The theme is MINI Vegas, we will have proper helicopter flight simulators for people to fly or be flown in down 'The Strip'.

Once you arrive we have Mulsanne casinos coming to set up in the showroom so everyone can have a wee flutter, and then we have Elvis to put on a show in true vegas style!

We would very much like MINI 2 to come along as we will have the new R56's accessoried and ready to drive. We will be showing the new bodykit etc. Also, only for MINI 2 members is a special treat. I will have my JCW Cooper S GP available for test drives if anyone would like to come down and drive the ultimate incarnation of the supercharged MINI!

Launch date is 18th November and will start from 2pm for general public. Also, by way of a thank you to everyone who helped us, we have a special 1hour preview from 1pm to 2pm for MINI 2 members to come down and see the new cars, and drive pretty much anything they like before we open to the general public, so drop by and see us on 18th.

Sounds like they listened OK - doesn't sound boring anyway! Will try to be there to get a test drive, the more I see of the R56 the more I like it. Just have to see it for real now. B)
