Any Orange County, California Mini owners interested in having a Mini caliper-painting day? I got my caliper paint the other day and am nervous about putting my car on jacks and removing the wheels for the first time. In exchange for assistance with that part of the job, I will offer assistance in:

cleaning calipers

cleaning the wheels (this is a good opportunity to get those wheels _really_ clean)

masking the area around the calipers, so we don't get paint where we don't want it

Maybe we'd have to have a "rotating caliper project", as I now recall that one is not supposed to drive the car for 24 hours after painting the calipers. But this can be arranged. Alternatively, I can give a free mini-wash to the OC mini owner who helps me with the jacking and wheel removal/replacement. (Yes, I'm a novice at mods, but good at cleaning cars!)
