The pics look great goonery! Looking forward to this one without a doubt.

Is there any chance you wil be putting the route into a tomtom file? If not I could look intodoing it through google earth as Hat made a post the other week of an application that changes routes done on google earth into tomtom files

Me and my girlfriend will actually be staying in Abasoch on the Sat night as my girlfriends Dad lives there

Hmm, its an idea but the run is on pretty simple roads and there won't be a big group so we should have no trouble in keeping things together. One thing I do insist on for my efforts is that we stop at quite a few places along the way, not only to allow regroups but so that people can switch with the cars in front or the back and get out for a chat and stuff.
Also the people in front should be looking out for the people behind so if someone gets caught up at a junction or is left behing we all take it steady until the group is at least in sight of one another.
I'll have a play on the Tom Tom and see how it goes. If I give you a file it will be a Tom Tom route to waypoints using shortest in many cases, which is not always where the run route would be.

That's what we did at the weekend, Stu. We had 12-14 cars out, and with a group that size, it's nice when everyone sticks together and looks out for each other. The use of CBs helps too.

OK Goonery I see what you mean about the roads, if you dont have any look inputting the full route into the tomtom dont worry

Really looking forward to this one! Definitely think that the sticking together thing is the key. Couple of the runs iv been on now and I am always trying to wait up for the ones behind but its hard when someone is at the front flooring it because they have a GP or an S (I have a Cooper). I am capable of the driving to keep up and usually do (apart from the straights ). Infact I love spirited driving on a run but when not everyone is capable its not fair...then everyone gets split up

This run seems like it is going to be a really great day with a friendly atmosphere and I am really looking forward to it now!

Well done Goonery

P.s. Is anyone going to be filming the run? As if not I am going to see if i can borrow a digital camcorder and my girlfriend can do some filming

The last time I did the run I did it in a Mini One and there were some faster machines behind who had a problem keeping up, but I did know the roads quite well by then.
The aim is to get everyone round in one piece and we almost managed it apart from a small accident on a greasy bend about 5 minutes after we started and a puncture

Rest assured that it will be paced nicely where appropriate

OK Rob not forgotten.
LYD, the alchohol content of your system should be considered before driving the morning after but of course you know that

Ooh good, I love a bit of spirited driving on the welsh national speed limit roads. Great fun

I still have runflats so wont be "too much" of a problem if i was to get a puncture, least I could drive to the nearest garage

Some tyre fitters are not too familiar with runflat technology around these parts I fear

i know the feeling. I phoned a so called "Experienced Local Tyre Fitting" company not too far from where I live and they didnt even know what a runflat tyre was. I explained and the guy said "oh thats good isnt it?1 Iv never seen those!"

I was just like.... "what?"

Ah well.... i think the likelyhood of us getting a puncture isnt too high How many miles in total is the route goon?

Around 80 - 100 dependent on which way we do one part, theres one part that I'd like to miss out as its one of the links between an A and B point, there is an alternative route which we could use according to the ordinance survey map, but its undesignated which may mean impassable except for tracked vehicles. My car is quite low at the front so I may not risk losing the spoiler
