Sound like this has generated a bit more interested since i last looked - looking forawrd to this now going to be a good weekend i hope, good point about the regrouping .. it really ruins a run if people don't stick together.

Only just over 2 weeks to go folks, can you confirm your attendance ASAP please
If you are staying over can you also tell us where and when so we can sort out a meet point for Friday and Saturday night evening meal and drinks.

Thanks

Splendid, Stu, good timing, as I was going to make sure this is definitely going ahead, coz I'm going to book my ferries in next couple of days

Will keep an eye out for where people are planning on staying as I haven't looked at that yet. I'll be coming in on Friday and leaving on Sunday, so I'll be about both evenings

Just confirming mine and my girlfriend Clair's attendance

And to confirm my accomodation... as mentioned in an earlier post we will be staying at my partners Dad's cottage just outside Pwethelli Depending on where abouts the meal/drinks are on Sat night we should be able to make them Not sure if we can make the run on the Sunday though as we may have to shoot off home in the morning as its a good 2 - 2.5hr drive back to the sunny High Peak

Not long now... first run since November so the two of us (and Decker ) are looking forward to this one!

Wales One for the future?

Sounds fab..... Being an exile down South (Llandudno originally - will you be organising any future runs?)

One to think about
I have named it "The Three Castle Valley Run" - What do you think???

Starting Point

Llandudno West Shore Car Park (Good start point RAC used to used it for their rallies when i was a lad!!!) From here we move off towards the town centre (Gloaddaeth Avenue) and then towards the Great Orme road.... A 6 mile stretch of fun (I used it many a time as a 17yo) and then out of the town West Shore side again and onto Conwy.
Over the old Telford bridge and Castle 1 is reached. Through the single lane road we turn up onto the Sychnant Pass.... (Great fun again) Over the pass and down to Penmaenmawr. Through the village onto the A55.
A55 (boring bit 8 mls) to the Tal-y-Bont turn and head towards Bangor, take the signs for the old Suspension Bridge onto the Isle of Anglesey (Ynys Mon). We head then to Beaumaris for Castle 2 point and a well earned break...... Lunch in beautiful Beaumaris with views over to the mountains and Conwy Bay....

Engines restarted its off towards the new Anglesey Bridge and over it head towards Caernarfon (A487?), decent fun on here and then into the town and a small break again now we are at Castle 3.....

Moving on the final stage (The Valley bit) we head towards Llanberis and Snowdon , towards Capel Curig then towards Betws-y-Coed on the A5.

Into Betws and we cross over the old bridge in the town and head on that fab B road towards Trefriw.
On from Trefriw we cross over the Conwy river at Tal-y-Bont and then back towards Llandudno on the A470....
Into the town on the A470 - A final flourish at the Lynx roundabout we turn right and head towards the main Promenade..
A cruise up the prom back to Gloaddaeth avenue and returning where we started at The West Shore Car park....

(Or we could stay on the B road towards Conwy and back past the castle and over the bridge reverse journey back to Llandudno?)

What do you think? Let me know if so for the future.... It could be fun
Plenty of accommodation in Llandudno all prices and lots of places to eat, drink and be merry!!!!

60K MINI miles since May 05 - Lovin it

Well it sounds to me like you have done it already and described it brilliantly , so why not organise your own run and post it up in the forum. This one is covering some of the roads for the April meet so I know they are good

I take it you are not coming on this one

Goonery,

I would be up there with you no doubt... however all of my N Wales family will be down in Bournemouth for a wedding, including me!!!! - So sadly can't do it...

As for the "Three Castles & Valley" run - I was thinking about it after reading yours and knowing the area like I do - days of old - I thought of the run taking in some good views, roads and well fun I guess... As a "newbie" this is all a learning cureve, so I guess maybe I'll need your expertise to organise the future North Wales run!!! -
