Start point is Betws y Coed which is on the A5/A470
Meet up at the main town carpark by the Motor Museum which is at the end of the road past the shopping mall and railway station.
From the start we'll head west towards Capel Curig
Then we branch left onto the A 4086 for Snowdon and the Llanberis Pass
Plenty of stops along the way as we head further West for the superb Menai Bridge and a quick trip onto Anglesey before heading back across the less than beautiful Britannia Bridge.
Then we head down towards Caernarfon on the A487 to find the A4085, the B4481 and the
A487 on towards Portmerion and a lunch stop. Portmerion itself has a £5 entry charge but is well worth the walk round and the car park is free. I''m looking at a group discount with them so will get back to you all on this. Hopefully we'll get something. If you don't want to visit the place itself there are pubs and cafe's in Minfford which is just at the entrance to Portmerion itself
Back on the road its the A487 to meet the A470 until we cut left onto the A4212 for a while.
The B4391 gets to meet the MINI's until we take a right onto the B4407 until we cross the A5 for a short while to get to the B5113 and 5427 before heading back towards the start point.
For those stopping overnight , there is an additional Sunday morning run which takes in some of the same roads towards Bala. For those that remember the 1st Lakes & Mountains, we do the scary bit the other way, then come around the mountain again to finish up in Bala for some lunch and farewells so we can all get home before Top Gear starts
Incomprehensive notes will be handed out on the day PMR radios are ok, but mobiles are almost useless in some parts.

Reason: updates
Its Saturday only at the moment, but could extend into Sunday if you are thinking of making a weekend of it. As for the start point, where do you want to start? I can modify the route extensively to get it nearer Holyhead or whatever port of entry you like
A BIT OF THE ROUTE in the attached pic is the Route of the Snowdon Marathon, only 1 small bit of untarmacced surface over the whole 26 miles, which is unusal in Wales
Well I might be able to pull a favour from a pal, she works for a company that goes into Heysham, so if you were starting at *that* side of Wales...
Am hoping to go to Nicky's run in July, so will need to have a look, see if I can get at least one cheap ferry Will be speaking to her later, so will sound her out on the possibility of me getting the MINI on amongst all the freight goods
Just wrap it in brown paper and put a big label on it, no one will be able to tell what it is then
If you can't get the car over, you can come over as a foot passenger and we'll get you picked up down by the docks......... oh that sounds a bit iffy dunnit, but you know what I mean Stops Digging
