Offline | There's a few of us meeting near J25 of M62 around 9 to 9.30, those wanting to meet here first, when you leave M62, follow signs for Huddersfield and meet in the first lay-by. Then we're heading over to meet the guys from the main starting point at Nostell Priory around 10.15 |

Offline | Yes I'm still coming, Boothy got his name down now too. Who you got for co-pilot? You managed to pick one up soon enough, maybe you should run a dating agency. TOMCOOPS - a World Record holder |

Offline | There is two meet points, the main start is indeed at the McDonalds described above, on the A1 / A638 junction. We are stopping at Nostell Priory for a photo shoot (numbers may prevent the intended plan) and there are some meeting there too. Hope this clears things up a bit. Offline | I've never been to a Mini event before, but this one ends very close to my house so it seems an ideal opportunity to give it a go. I spoke to my partner last night and she's keen to come along. We would also be bringing our 10 year-old lad. Is this a good idea? He is keen on cars so I think he'd find it interesting. So, now I've agreed to come along what happens? Do I need to PM someone to get a map? How much is a 'small donation'? Offline | Hi Giles, bringing your son is definitely a good idea, as long as he's not prone to being car sick ... and you have plenty of drinks etc to keep him happy for what could be quite a long day. By posting your interest here, the organiser Jas will see it & shud add you to the list ... Run Notes are here: Doncaster Mini Register :: Download (downloaded 38 times so far - only 30 cars on list ...) Lunch details here: Doncaster Mini Register :: View topic - DMR Valentines run - Sunday February 11th If not just PM him / post which meeting point you will be turning up at on the day (McDs off A1or Nostell Priory) and then just come over & say hello to all the other MINI people We tend to park all together so it's pretty easy to spot who's who; u can look in people's galleries so you'll recognise there cars too if that helps Cant answer about the 'donation' as it's my first DMR run to .. sure Jas will be online later to advise Tip: if you have a PMR radio, bring it with you as we can (do) chat between cars |

Offline | Hi Gilles, great to have you on board, especially as it is your first event. J1 said it all really. The run itself will be a good one for your first one, not too long, and we have regular stops to regroup etc. As far as the donation goes, we only ask a pound to cover expenses for the club etc. Our members pay an annual fee and it would be hard to justify that if all our events were free for non members. And if you are only in Sheffield, our club web site is worth a visit, you would be very welcome. Look forward to meeting you. Offline | Thanks. I have downloaded the notes and now I'm more confused. What is the start point? The notes seem to show a route from McDonalds to Nostell Priory. I thought some people were meeting at Nostell Priory early and then joining everyone else at McD's? ??? I think we do have a couple of these. I'll make sure we get fresh batteries. Thanks again. I've checked the weather forecast and it looks like it should be a glorious day and there will probably still be snow on the ground. Must remember camera! Probably a good idea to take blankets in case we have the roof down. "If everything is under control, you are going too slow." - Mario Andretti |

Offline | It was the BBC website. I used the postcode DN6 7EA quoted earlier. Just done it again and it now says heavy rain! "If everything is under control, you are going too slow." - Mario Andretti |
