| Ultimate Guildford Run! 3rd March '07 - We're going to TopGear! - PICS FROM PAGE 17 Link for photographs taken by MK Photos MK-Photos Motorsport Photography and Services Meet Point - CHANGED Folks, we will be meeting at Newlands Corner on the A25 Guildford to Dorking Road. Please aim to arrive between 10am and 11am. We will be departing at 11.30 promptly, or we will not arrive at Dunsfold in time. I will be there early, so don't worry about being first there. Map of the Start Location is here We will be given police assistance to turn out of Newlands Corner in one long convoy... so we should stay together for a few miles at least. At the start point, you will be issued with:
Donation There is no offical charge for access to the grounds, but we would like run partcipants to make a £5 donation per car which will be handed over to Dunsfold management and given to their designated charity CHASE (http://www.chasecare.org.uk/). This will be collected in exchange for your run notes and windscreen passes. The Run We'll be heading out on the twisty roads to Dunsfold, aiming to congregate in the slip road approaching the park at 12.15pm. There are going to be circa 120 cars on the run, please watch out for each other! Dunsfold Park We have exclusive access to the grounds (many thanks to Jo Cooper for her help) for 2 hours between 12.30pm and 2.30pm. During this time we can have a photoshoot with the Boeing 747 and we will have Test Track Access. We will be led on parade laps of the TopGear Test Track - follow the lines that The Stig drives  Please note - Power Laps will not be available Anyone fooling round on the track or driving dangerously will be asked to leave. It's not a playground. Driving the track is done so at the owners risk and is by no means compulsory! Once we've all been round the track, there will be hot and cold drink, and hot food on the old runway next to the 747. Due to numbers involved, going back to a pub was out of the question! many thanks to the St. Omar Barracks in Aldershot for their help! Bacon rolls, Burgers and veg rolls will be available, aswell as tea, coffee and all the usual soft drinks. Please note this is not included in the £5 entry donation, so donations for food gratefully receievd to cover costs. Any funds raised will go to the MINI2 charity ball fund (aiming to raise £10k for Marie Curie this year). This time will give folks a good chance to have a wander round and meet everyone on the run (there's a lot of people to get round!), and have a look at all the lovely MINIs! That's it folks! | No, it was a tongue firmly in cheek comment, I understand all too well  I'm tying to persuade Jackie that she'd enjoy her birthday weekend at a track .......  in other words i'll not be there |
