Unless your name is 118 and get lost on the first stage and miss the time check by half an hour!

Ian, have you actually read your own blog.

Here's a couple of extracts...

Day One
We arrived in the centre of Reims around 15:00 and then spent the next hour or so trying to find the hotel – after going round in circles and seeing most of Reims, we found it...

Day Two
We were soon on our way and continued onto Luzern – we struggled to find this hotel too (can you see a pattern here??!), after driving around for about 3 hours, and navigating by longitude and latitude on the sat nav, we found it...

Day Four
As the hotel in Venice was only around 29 miles away from Padova, we set off around 09:30, which should have given us plenty of time... However, we got a little bit lost and held up in traffic, then found out that there are actually 3 Holiday Inn hotels in Venice!

Day Five
Our first stop was Villa Albrizzi in Treviso – unfortunately on the way, we missed a turning and were the last to arrive!

Most certainly is!

You get to drive through some fantastic scenery and visit places not normally accessable to the general public. Couldn't in my wildest dreams thought I'd be driving round the F1 circuit at Monza last year..

Yes it is - as Chris and Jax said how often do we get the chance to drive Monza, Lingotto and have a police escort through the middle of Turin.

Hi Andy, hows it going.

Got any further sorting out Heathers leave or getting her down to the start at Stressa?

I was wondering what you think about getting the Italian Job door panels made up as magnetics?
I can;t remmember if Trina had them , I know Sue and Martin behind us had them made up.

I thought if we could have removable plates for the trip down and back it would make us a bit less conspicuous to our friendly Gendarme.

Still don't know about Heather getting the time off, have put off making a decision until we get back from the reunion dinner.

If we do it we a definatly getting magnetic door panels - Trina had them done so I will ask her who did them for her - think you need them to stop those speeding tickets -

We should hopefully have some more info on this years run when we get back from Venice at the end of March

Did you see the article in this months modern mini - another pic of the GP made it in

Speak soon

Andy

Fingers crossed you can make it this year!

Enjoy your reunion dinnner, shame we cant make it.

Looks like we'll have to have another reunion at Mni- cabs Guildford run.

Still not had a chance to get a copy of Modern Mini yet, can only get it in W H Smiths round here and even that's patchy.
But got a copy of this months Mini World that had a nice article on the IJ and managed to get MINI2 a mention.

See ya soon.

Good news

Jan has managed to get the time off work - some good negotiation meant that the school governors approved it ( I was not at the governors meeting as I was in Italy working) so I have some thanking to do.

Just got our forms back from the organisers and can confirm we are Team 57

Now we have to sort out sponsorship and get the money rolling in - any ideas would be most welcome

Any idea how many 2007 jobbers will be on the Ultimate Guildford Run on 3rd March, it will be good to meet up.

Snowie (Alan & Jan)
