Just got our forms back from the organisers and can confirm we are Team 57 Now we have to sort out sponsorship and get the money rolling in - any ideas would be most welcome Any idea how many 2007 jobbers will be on the Ultimate Guildford Run on 3rd March, it will be good to meet up. Snowie (Alan & Jan)
Hello Team 57, excellent news.
As for sponsorship we tackled this in three ways last year.
1, You can order lottery tickets tfrom the IJ to win a new mini, which we sold at work and at few mini shows and runs,
2. Use parts of your car to sell as advertising space to local companies.
3. Online donations from friends and family.
As for the Guilford run the 2006 jobbers signed up for this run include 118 (Ian), Andy P (Andy and Heather) and Jacked Up (Nathan and Debbie)

Hello Team 32
Here's a little picture we found today on the Mini World website, just to get you even more excited.
It shows last years jobbers on top of the famous LIngotto rooftop test track.

IJ NEWS UPDATE (first post updated)
The outline programme and incliusive hotel costs will be confirmed by the end of March.
They have provisionally confirmed that the navigational rally will now start on Friday 26th Oct in Quarto d'Altino (near Venice) and will end in Turin on Oct 31st.
The optional pit stop hotels are in Annecy (1/11) and Reims (2/11).
The heroes return celebration dinner closing the event will again be held in Brighton on Sat 3rd Nov.
The basic itinerary will be advised by April, and the IJ organisation is currently looking into arranging a lap or two on one of the following race curcuits.: -

Just want to say "Hi" the fellow jobbers on this board. We're doing the Italian Job for the first time this year and are Team 21. I can't wait for October :-)

Hi there.
Welcome to Mini2.
We did our first Italian job last year and had such a fantastic time we're back for more. It really is a trip of a lifetime.
I'll update the first post and put on the runners and riders list. If I could have the first name of yourself and your navigator that would be greart?
If you have any questions regarding the IJ please feel free to ask in this thread or PM myself.
Chris..

Hi Chris
Thanks for the welcome
Team 21 is Ian Sims, driver, and me, Michael Caine (honest!) as co driver / navigator.
We do have a team website but I can't post URLs until I've made a further 3 posts
Regards
Mike

Mike, post the link in this thread when you can.
If you'd like to look at our website (link in signature) and click on archives October 2006 you should be able to get a flavour of the daiy to day events that take place during the job.
As for your name, I must admit at first I though it might be a bit of a wind up.
But after having spoken to my better half Jax, she remembered replying to one of your postings on the official IJ site.

I'll have a good look over the weekend. It's interesting looking at other Jobber's sites to see their experiences and photos.
Are you going to include the sites of this year's entrants on your list? I'd like to see who the other teams are and how they're getting on.
If you do, ours is the usual bit at the start, then italianjob dot info

Theres a link at the bottom of my signature like this on all of my postings.
This should lead you to our website, which we use to send back live blogs and pictures via our mobile phone from mini events etc.

That's odd, I'm not seeing any signatures on any posts in this thread.
I assume we're talking about a bit at the bottom of the postings?
Thanks for the link, interesting read - you got married on the 2006 Job!!!
