What do yer fink of this !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A 2003 London to Brighton run for MINI/minis and to raise funds for charities etc.

We could get MINI uk and dealers to sponser the event maybe as well as private companies and with over 1 thousand uk members on MINI2 with MINIs hopefully this could be the start of something very good.

Start at Crystal Palace finnish at Madeira Drive,Brighton where we could have show and shine, best modded MINI,ETC.

This is just an idea, but as it wont happen until next year it would give us all time to plan and promote it.

PS,What do yer all fink then.

PPS,I've made this a sticky to see what interest there is for this.

I am in favour of a run to raise money for charities.

However, I believe London to Brighton run could be too far south for the northern members in the UK to participate.

How about a Landsend to John O'Groats run with joining and stop-off points along the way as the national fund-raising event? Just an idea

DK

P.S. We could still have a London to Brighton run for those in the south

Errr...
I like the idea of a run but I don't think we should organise our own L2B run.

Lets not try and alienate them from our stuff just as we hope they don't to us.

the MINI has gone...

you could do what the Nothern Smart Owners did and do a Leeds to Bridlington Run?
or Leeds to Blackpool or any other L to B
more central in the UK than London

Why not have a London to Brighton run we go to there shows even though they dont want us there.

so wheres the problem.

I say forget the MINI v mini issue and lets not forget all funds raised are for charity.

One last thing this could be a major event for the MINI without stepping on anyones toes.

I like the idea of it. Maybe I could borrow a demo car of a friendly dealer so I don't keep putting miles on my car.........O wait my dealers aren't that friendly

Still a good idea though!

Dom,There appears to be a lack of interest as it would seem we would be treading on the classic mini owners toes, but we do anyway by attending there shows when they dont really want us there in the first place.

One really confused dinger.
