Set up a Milton Keynes meet and run - any ideas?

Hi i have had my mini for over a year and have never been to a mini meet or run and would love to go on one in Milton Keynes or the surrounding area. Would be great to meet people who love the mini as much as me.

Apologies to all concerned - I did search forum, but couldn't find anything on any new meets only old ones.

Hi Nick - was in the same boat as you last year; don't worry.

I have been on a few runs & am going on a few of the big ones this year to get some ideas, with a view to sorting a definite MK / Bucks run for early 2008 (need to grab dates early!).

Until then, as suggested above the Cotswolds, Charity Ball (Northampton) and Ridgeway Runs are all within easy reach of MK.

There will another Darkness Run this year, but it wont be until late in the year (when it's darker, obviously).

Sure we'll arrange a few smaller meet ups in the meanwhile, lots of good roads to play on around here.

If you go on one run ever, this is the one!
Just make sure you get a bit of experience with other runs first 'cause it can be a bit lairy!!!!

12th May is the Northants Nutty Run, a smaller event which might be good to brreak yourself in on http://www.mini2.com/forum/uk-irelan...th-2007-a.html It's also the Charity Ball that night in Northampton so you could then join us for a night of beer and partying too

Also look out for ad-hoc daytime lunchtime runs around MK

I would have said about doing the London 2 Brighton Mini Run on may 20th. But i have heard it is now sold out.
You can still do the run but not officially, You can join the cars on A23 and will have to park in a car park in brighton as you wont be allowed onto the sea front with the other 2,100 Classic & New Mini`s.

Hi all

I have now been to a couple of meets and did my first run on sunday which was great fun had a good time

Anyway i was thinking of doing a meet starting at The caldecotte Arms as it has a big car park and is near the A5, have a chat etc, then a blast around Mk then back for a drink, so what do people think?
Anyone got any more ideas etc.
if i get a good responce then i will set something up on what people say
