What a great night, it was really good to smash that record, and wow what a sight! 269 minis in a line, it was much larger than I thought it would be!

I think that I have even converted my corsa driving friend that she needs to buy a Mini.....

Did any of you see that kid riding his bike along side us for most of the way? I think he wanted to join in!

Definatley going to ask Alison for a certificate for the night, it will be framed and put up on my office wall I think!

Did anyone get any pictures of the front of the line up? I was so so lucky as I was at the front of the left hand line, so I could see everything that was going on. How I managed that, I have no clue. People kept comming up to my car and saying that I had a really important job as I needed to tag onto the end without a gap.
I got so nervous after that HUGE police man told me, that I was petrified of stalling!

Shame we couldnt pip our horns, as that was really tempting - but understandable.

Thanks to everyone who organised the event, it ran so smoothy! and of course the police for the help and understanding!

Yeah, I'm glad they let the extra 19 who'd turned up take part. Would have been a shame to cap it off at 250 but I understand why they wanted to.

Ditto.

I was two cars behind you on the same side and was thinking exactly the same thing.

That guy was massive! I overheard R99 (or one of his mates) suggest he could perhaps win the Guinness World Record for biggest police officer.

No, but we could flash our headlights, which most of us did.

What a fantastic night, wonderful to be part of a World Record !

Massive thanks to all at Woodmans, particularly Alison, I just wish you were my local dealership

The goodie bags were brilliant, that chocolate lolly is too nice to eat and the sticker has pride of place on my windscreen Apparently the burgers were great, could I request a veggie one next time?

We were lucky to be up near the front, car number 17 I think, and we managed to stay topless the whole time

Morning everyone. Just wanted to thank the entire Woodmans team for organising this so well, it could have been absolute chaos. As it was it seemed to go off seemlessly. Really good to see such a fantastic turnout, with such an amazing variety of cars and tastes on display. Especially nice to see so many beautiful classics there, mixed meets are fantastic. Great to see old friends and make some new, shame I missed so many people I wanted to meet.

Will post pics eventually.

WELL DONE EVERYONE

It does go to prove one more thing as well. There are a lot of people on here that need to get themselves to more NW runs and pub meets

Someone from here joked about the World's Fastest MINI Convoy.

Not sure I'd want to take part in that one though.

They do make a good noise for their age though.

Thumbs up Congratulations!

Well congratulations everyone – we did it!

What an amazing night, I’m sorry if some of you missed out on the food. We underestimated how many people would be in each car but hope it didn’t spoilt the night! (Veggie request noted for next time too! )

The band were excellent, you can find out more about them on their websites www.velocityrock.co.ukorwww.myspace.com/velocityuk

We’ve just had a count up and we have all raised a massive £1777.11 for Comic Relief! That is fantastic so big round of applause for everyone!!

With regard to certificates, the GWR tell me they are £10 each. But I’m going to try and negotiate a better rate because of the volume we’ll be asking for. I’ll be contacting everyone to see if they want one once I have found out how we go about ordering them.

Once the video is edited (which might be a couple of weeks) I’ll load it on here!

Well done again!! Good to see so many people could make it from all over the country!

Michelle
