Wow, I was first back from the event to post on this forum and I didn't say much (too tired/emotional and I had a taped episode of Corrie to catch up on and the footie highlights (low lights!?!)) to watch.

Anyway, a fantastic do all round. Downside for me (and I guess a few others) was that there were still a LOT of people queuing up to get in when the record announcement was made (heard it outside as muffled cheers). A bit of an anti-climax not to be inside and soaking up the atmosphere. Despite arriving early, the way the cars were stacked up meant I was at the back of the convoy. It was us stragglers that were 'locked-out'!

In fairness though, I guess those inside were eager to know the result and I accept it couldn't be put off any longer because there were those making long journeys home, those with small children etc...

But back to plus points. I really enjoyed it and the enormity of being even a small part of a world record is only just beginning to sink in!

Congrats to the Woodmans team for all the hard work. I don't know when the 'behind-the-scenes' planning started, but it seems like from 'going public' with the flyers to the event itself was only 4 weeks or so - a massive achievement in such a short time.

I've also suggested to Alison and Michelle the possibility of making the certificates available as Word Doc or PDF to download and print. All that would be to do is then neatly write in your name, car reg etc and get it framed. Anyone else think this is a go-er? Still keen to get a pukka Guinness cert though.

I also like the way in which my Outlook Express Contacts List has now defaulted itself to fill up with everyone on Alison's e-mailing list!

I like taking pics - but there is obviously so much skill involved to get pics like these! Anymore?

Thank you to all @ Derek Woodmans for a night of pure record breaking fun, and as you could see on the faces of the mini execs , thats why they love selling the cars we love to drive, i cant imagine 269 corsa's or any other make of car doing what mini owners did on wed night.
So a BIG thank you to all that was involved.
