Anybody fancy tagging along for a run down the A1 (probably leaving initially from truck park at Durham services, Junct 61 on the A1) to the Mini's VS Beetles drag challenge at York County Raceway, near Melbourne, N. Yorks
There was only one MINI racing there last year so hopefully they will get a better representation this year,
Its £10 per car in to spectate and £20 to run in the challenge which gets you a few runs down the strip.
Other cars can run too through the day on a RWYB for the same price.
There are others I have been told..not seen details yet though.
This is the most unprofessional bit of site management I have seen since I was banned from a certain other site...at least they had the excuse that they were enthusiasts who had strong views and not professionals paid to keep thier cool!
i have Never done anything like it. what a great day! i would just like to thank spud who is a member on mini2 who also has a mini GP we both ran together twice.. it must have looked great two GP"s together i wounder if it was a first and thanks to Steve's Julie for giving me money... and vigilante if you need any more tips for beating Steve just ask! . congratulations to Steve for quickest time even Thu it kills me. but lets have a break down of your unfair advantages for today (1) a odd looking wheel full of helium rear drivers side? (2) strange petrol containers with strange smelling fuel (race gas) (3) and finally taking all your bulbs out! to save wait really Steve .
dude the first thing i need is another 150bhp - i took the moral victory tho by being first back to durham (apart from you) I think you ought to do the NEMC run next weekend to show him some open road prowess
