Talking Mini's Vs Beetles Challenge 8th April 2007

Anybody fancy tagging along for a run down the A1 (probably leaving initially from truck park at Durham services, Junct 61 on the A1) to the Mini's VS Beetles drag challenge at York County Raceway, near Melbourne, N. Yorks

There was only one MINI racing there last year so hopefully they will get a better representation this year,

Its £10 per car in to spectate and £20 to run in the challenge which gets you a few runs down the strip.

Other cars can run too through the day on a RWYB for the same price.

There are others I have been told..not seen details yet though.

This is the most unprofessional bit of site management I have seen since I was banned from a certain other site...at least they had the excuse that they were enthusiasts who had strong views and not professionals paid to keep thier cool!

MINI way to heavy for a bike engine. I'm waiting for a modern interpretation of the Twini-mini !!!! Surely that one has to happen sometime!

A big congrats to Steve, Gary, Michael and the dudes in the Indi Blue MCS and other GP for their performances today.

A good turn out to watch the Mini/MINI's thrash the Beetles 12-3. just the way it should be.

(2) strange petrol containers with strange smelling fuel (race gas) (3) and finally taking all your bulbs out! to save wait really Steve .
