MINI2 Gay away weekend 5th, 6th & 7th October 2007

The 1st MINI2 Gay away weekend is to be held this October. The plan is to go to Blackpool for the weekend and have a top night out on the Saturday.This will include the world famous Funny girlsand then onto a club Funny girls is £7 a head standing and £17.50 per person seated. If anyone wants seats then we have to book very soon. As the bar is a show bar and is open from 7pm-11pm I am very happy to stand as it's great fun doing this.

Then in the days there is all the usual seaside fodder that Blackpool has to offer - I for one am up for the big one

October is in the middle of the illuminations so we get to see those too (31 August - 4 November 2007) so an evening drive along the lights on the Friday evening is planned before hitting the bars. This will hopefully be preceded by a trip to Seniors - The Fish Experience for tea, thanks to Sham for the suggestion.

Bed and Breakfast's are plentiful and lots on Lord Street which is very close to Funny girls, the clubs and the sea front.

The bed and breakfast has been booked with Guyz hotel which I have stayed at before and is very tasteful. When booking please state you are part of the MINI2 party. Rooms are £20, £25 and £30 per person per night depending on what room etc you want. Minimum stay is 2 nights which suits us perfectly. Most B&B's have the same policy during the illuminations.

They can also provide evening dinner if you wish. 2 course £7.50 per head or 3 course £8.50 per head. Please book this with the hotel - might be a very good idea on the Saturday before Funny girls.

They have said it would be a shame to split the party up - so are very welcoming for the girls to book here too. If everyone books within the next month then we will get all the rooms at quoted prices - before the Illuminations season increase!

To anyone naive - this is a weekend for and by the MINI2 gay community and all events will be gay themed or orientated. Anyone is welcome as long as they are up for a laugh and are open minded.

Friday
meet up at 12 noon
Stafford Services Northbound M6
Motorway: M6
Where: Between Junctions 14 and 15
Site Type: Facilities accessible from one direction only

2PM arrive at the hotel and have a chill out

4.30PM meet up to drive to Seniors for fish and chips at 5PM

7PM cruise along the seafront to see the illuminations

9PM off for a drink in the handbag

11PM off to Popey's club

Saturday

Day = Blackpool pleasure beach, tower etc etc
5PM - have tea somewhere
7PM meet in hotel bar and then off to Funny girls!
11PM Flamingo's

Sunday

General chill out and return home
