Been trying to get to this for the last 2 years - I was going to take the Classic down but then a "challenge" was issued by Mrs. Elfwoman.... So now its time to start practising my reversing and parking in something just a little less.... well, "mini"!

That will be fun to watch! It wasn't a challenge, so much as a question. but now you mention it, if a Bini wins, then I may even have to fork out an extra special prize!

Are you talking about your TV appearance then?

Just use MINI in capitals.

Yes I was referring to that! What a disaster! OK, thats me warned then!

If any one does the driving skills night in a MINI and wins, I will get them something special!
Now, just to decide what!!
Any suggestions??!!

Right, just checked me diary, I'll be down maybe to watch.

Though I some how doubt I'll take part, my parking skills are a bit dubious if its not a Mini!

Can park two Mini's with Millimetres to spare in the space were one should sit repeatedly in carport, but then I went and reversed the boxster in beside them, into the wall!

On another note, are Mini's welcome at the track day on 2nd of June at Nutts Corner?

Apologies for not noticing this part sooner, All Mini/MINI derivatives are most definitlely welcome - I'm taking my Cooper as the gearbox in the Classic is just too fragile at the moment for a track thrashing. Trying to borrow a set of wheels/tyres for the day as I don't want to destroy a set of runflats.

Still not sure of all the details but I expect to find out more tomorrow. You would need to sign up for it on Ni-minis.co.uk as I expect Ally would prefer a single list to work with.

Went to this last night - p*ssing down when I arrived but gradually got brighter. Good laugh - what the MINI lacks in visibiity for reversing it gains in having power steering for the tight stuff. I'm just not very good at judging the width of the car.....

Spotted a MINI2 member's car at the other end of the car park but they never came along to say hello..... ::

I did OK on the reversing test but the parking forwards was a lot worse! Regardless, I got a cool model Mini for attempting it in a "Big" car so thanks to Dee for organising things!
