Small Mendip Run 20th May 07 from Frome, Somerset


Mendip MINI's Run
Myself (One D) and my wife (just got herself a cooper) are organising a run on the 20th May 2007 so all welcome to join us.

We are based in Frome Somerset and the run would start from there.

Basic facts:

Route is planned (see link below) and tested and includes some of the best driving roads local to Frome and surrounding area.

Twists, turns and long straights take you through Frome, Mendips to Oakhill, Stratton on the Fosse, Kilmersdon, Norton St Philip, Bradford On Avon & More.

Approx 35 miles & 1hr 15mins

Start approx 10.30 at Frome Leisure Centre and finishing at the Old Mill in Rode ( a few miles outside Frome on way to Bath).

If you are interested please let us know as this is the first run we have set up and it would be great to get up and running with a good crowd.

Damn, just spotted this.

I lived in Frome from the age of 7-13, and then in Buckland Dinham just outside, until I was 18.

Looks like a great run, and I would have loved to attend but I'm at the Heineken Cup final instead...

Let me know if you do another one, I'd love to attend and revisit some of these roads!

We will let you know as soon as next one confirmed. You are right about the roads, we are blessed round here! Buckland into Frome is not on this run but is still a fave of mine in a MINI!

Put me down for this run please. I saw this on my club site the New Mini Severns. Hope that is OK. Is the start at the mill, at Rode as above or the Frome Leisure Centre as shown on the attached file? Thanks Jaxmini

Cheers, added to list & looking forward to seeing you on Sunday. We are meeting at the Leisure Centre in Frome at 10.30 for an 11am start. Run will end at the Mill@Rode.
