North East MINI Meeting - 3rd June 2007

Date: Sunday, 3rd June 2007
Time: Meeting between 12pm and 1pm.


We had a fantastic day out at the last meeting, with a good run-out and a stop break for lunch in between. Hopefully we can repeat on the success of the last meet, so if you couldn't make it last time, now is your chance!

The plan is to do another run and stop again for some lunch half way through the day.

We are meeting at the same location as the last meet, which is the Brewer's Fayre car park (also a travel lodge) in Swalwell, just past the Metro Centre.

What's Happening?

12pm to 1pm: Meeting up.
1pm to 1.30pm: Natter in car park, tyre kicking etc.
1.30pm: Run begins
Half way: Pub / Cafe Lunch
After lunch: Continuation of run

Sorry guys i couldnt make the last one and cant make this one! i work in northern ireland and its a struggle to get home im currently trying to make an excuse to get home for the Lakes run! if anything changes and i can make it home then ill be there, if your at the lakes run ill see you there if my excuse plays off with my boss!

P.s Unfortunately i am home from the 25th til 30th may but thats abit to early!

Hmm.. on a plus point though, if this meeting goes well we're thinking of making it a monthly thing, possibly the first sunday of every month. Means you can plan ahead...

Thats cool i guess the route will have to change regulary!

Well i do try to get home every 2 weeks but its that time of the year at work at the moment, im having a change of location job wise soon from august, september time and i should be home alot more often, every week end!

Im not sure if you guys are a member of this place but they do a meet every thursday as far as im aware already! im nit a member but this is a regular thing also!

I do actually, I designed and developed that website

Only problem is that there's not a lot of new MINIs get there, it's predominantly classic based.

me you and Steve go we all have new minis.... well i v herd Steve is after a new car or something a bit faster and that can out Handel his cooper s i suggested a nice long wheel base ford transit... it may take him a while but he will get used to the new found power... at least the back wheels on the transit will be round......

I see the green eyed monster lives on gary, jealousy doesnt suit you next time were on the strip i will go in reverse to give you a chance HA HA! anyway at the NEMC there is about 10 ish new minis of which about 4-5 are regulars so come on scott join up and boost the numbers . Its about time drew came back also were all missing you and jo .

Scotty. I too am a member of NEMC...though don't get to many meetings as work and family life usually mean i'm too knackered by that point in the week
There is a gradual growing culture of (ahem) Bini's there. When I joined Steve had the only MINI in the club but now there are several...however as Drew states there are many more Mini's but BMW's love child is accepted as one of the clan.

Im 90% going to be there, its my parents wedding anniversary but im sure they will cope without me!!
Any plans for the run this time, the fells were amazing roads, any chance we could spend more time on them??

Yeah that's the idea this time Delly, that we do more driving with a stop break in between. Should be fun
